Bible Memorization Made Fun With Music

The purpose of this web site is to provide a way to memorize portions of the Bible using music. In an effort to help our children learn and memorize verses, I felt motivated to put Psalms and chapters of the Bible to music. I am not highly trained in music, so each MP3 file only has the melody. I believe God gave me the tunes. If you are skilled in music, and the melodies sound worthy of adding harmony, please feel free to enhance the music. The words are from the King James version. The MP3 files are free to download.

What we did with our children was to have them learn a verse or two at a time. Once they learned the first verses, we would add another verse or two until the whole chapter was committed to memory with the melody. A note of caution: I am a bit of a perfectionist, and did not praise the children as much as I should have. I was a bit of a taskmaster. Please if you are working with children, give them at least 10 parts praise to 1 part of gentle criticism.

The MP3 files are on the MP3 tab. The tabs can be accessed from the top of this page. If you are accessing this through your phone, click on the menu to get to the MP3 page. More will be added as I get them recorded.

My apologies: I just found that the MP3 files are not downloadable from an I-Phone 11 and possibly other cell phones. I will try to find a way for that to happen. In the meantime, the files are downloadable from a computer.

Comments and suggestions are welcome.
